China → India logistics, explained without vanity numbers

Cargozant is a China-to-India sourcing and door-to-door shipping partner for personal importers and GST businesses. We buy and consolidate cargo (Alibaba, 1688, Taobao, factories), run pre-dispatch QC proof, move it on published air lanes from China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, coordinate Indian customs, and deliver metro / Tier-2 / remote India.

How cost is calculated

Chargeable kg = higher of actual and volumetric (L×B×H÷5000). Freight from the live rate card (W.E.F. 2 Jun 2026, FSC included). Clearance ₹1k / ₹3k by goods value. Duty: CIF → BCD → SWS 10% → IGST 18% — indicative until HS code.

What is firm vs estimate

Freight, handling, and clearance from our card are firm for the quoted band. Customs duty and goods IGST stay planning figures until classification is confirmed — we say so on every estimate.

Answers buyers ask before booking

Chargeable weight is the higher of actual kg and volumetric kg (L×B×H in cm ÷ 5000), rounded to the card’s billing step. Freight uses published origin/service slabs with fuel surcharge included. Clearance is ₹1,000 under ₹1 lakh goods value and ₹3,000 at or above. Indicative customs duty follows CIF → BCD → 10% SWS → 18% IGST. Run the live numbers on the calculator — freight is firm from the card; duty is planning-only until HS code confirmation.
