1. Overview & Data Principles

Cargozant Logistics collects and processes personal and business data strictly to deliver shipping estimates, process customs filings with port authorities, and issue software license keys. We do not sell your data or monitor browsing on non-sourcing websites.

This policy explains what information we collect, why we need it, how it is stored, and your rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA), 2023, the Information Technology Act, 2000, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) payment guidelines, and international data standards including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum data required to deliver our software products and cross-border logistics services:

2.1 Customer & Billing Information

When you purchase a Pro Pass or request a shipping quote, we collect:

• Full Name, Company / Business Name, and Registered GSTIN (for tax invoicing).
• Email address (for software license delivery, receipts, and order updates).
• Phone number (for shipment milestone alerts and customer service).
• Delivery / Doorstep destination address in India or the United States.

2.2 Chrome Web Store Extension & Local Storage Disclosure

The Cargozant Chrome Extension (Cargozant: 1688, Alibaba Dropship & Landed Cost OS) operates with a strict, privacy-first architecture in full compliance with the Google Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies, the Single Purpose Policy, and Google's User Data Guidelines:

• Zero Remote Code: In accordance with Manifest V3 standards, the extension does not download, load, or execute any remote code or scripts. All calculators, stylesheets, and logic are 100% self-contained within the installed extension package.
• Local-Only Storage (Zero Cloud Transmission): Saved product items, shortlisted SKU dossiers, custom forwarder rates, and PO calculations are stored exclusively on your local device using chrome.storage.local. Cargozant does not transmit, collect, or store your private product sourcing lists, supplier notes, or research on external remote servers.
• Strict Single Purpose & Minimal Permissions:
  • storage: Retains your custom freight slabs, saved SKU dossiers, and cached forex rates locally on your machine.
  • activeTab: Detects when you are actively viewing a wholesale supplier product page to launch the sourcing assistant.
  • scripting: Mounts the landed cost overlay and reads public item parameters (weight, price) when you interact with the tool.
  • tabs: Opens the dedicated full-page SKU Dossier, Sourcing CRM, and trade document generator in a separate tab.
  • Host permissions: Queries public real-time foreign exchange rates (CNY/INR/USD) and executes the overlay solely on supported sourcing domains.
• Strict Domain Boundary: The extension script executes solely on designated e-commerce and sourcing platforms (1688.com, Alibaba.com, Taobao.com, and AliExpress.com). It never monitors, reads, or records browsing history on search engines, email, banking, social media, or other unrelated websites.
• Zero User Data Monetization: We do not sell, rent, barter, or transfer user data to third parties, data brokers, or advertising networks under any circumstances.

2.3 Customs & Regulatory KYC Information

For formal commercial freight clearance through Indian Customs (CBIC) or U.S. Customs (CBP), we collect statutory compliance documents, including your Import Export Code (IEC), Authorized Dealer (AD) Code, commercial supplier invoices, and packing lists as mandated by the Indian Customs Act, 1962.

3. Purpose & Legal Basis for Processing

We process your information strictly for legitimate commercial purposes:

• Fulfillment & License Provision: Generating your cryptographic license key, verifying active status, and providing software updates.
• Customs Declarations & EDI Filing: Generating Bills of Entry and filing cargo declarations with Indian Customs via ICEGATE.
• Shipment Tracking & Delivery: Transmitting airway bill (AWB) milestones and coordinating door-to-door ground delivery.
• Accounting & Tax Compliance: Issuing GST invoices and complying with statutory audit requirements under Indian and international fiscal laws.

4. Data Sharing & Third-Party Disclosures

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or commercial data. We disclose data solely to trusted partners necessary to execute our services:

• Payment Gateways: Razorpay Software Private Limited, to process authorized UPI, card, and net banking payments.
• Government & Customs Authorities: Indian Customs (CBIC), Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) as required by sovereign import laws.
• Transportation & Last-Mile Couriers: Contracted international airlines, container shipping lines, and domestic express carriers (e.g. Bluedart, Delhivery) strictly for final package delivery.

5. Data Security & Retention

• Security Measures: We employ end-to-end 256-bit TLS/SSL encryption for data in transit, strict administrative access restrictions, and sanitized local databases.
• Retention Periods: License records are retained for the duration of your active subscription. Commercial freight records and customs declarations are retained for the statutory 5-year period mandated by Section 153 of the Indian Customs Act, 1962, after which they are securely archived or purged.

6. Your Privacy Rights

Under applicable Indian and international privacy statutes, you possess the right to:

• Access & Rectification: Request a copy of the personal information we hold or correct any inaccuracies.
• Erasure & Withdrawal: Request deletion of your contact data (subject to statutory customs retention mandates) or withdraw consent for marketing communications.
• Non-Discrimination: We do not discriminate against users who exercise their lawful privacy rights.
